Connect Le Chat

Mistral's Le Chat calls these connectors, and you can add your own on every plan, including Free. One thing to know first: only a workspace admin can add one. On a Free, Pro or Student account that is you. In a team workspace, ask whoever runs it.

Add the connector

  • Open Connectors in Le Chat and select + Add Connector.
  • Switch to the Custom MCP Connector tab.
  • As the connector name, type hiasynth. Le Chat does not allow spaces or special characters in the name.
  • Paste this as the server URL, add a description if you like, and click Connect.

Say yes to the handshake

Le Chat works out by itself how Hiasynth signs people in, so there is nothing to choose. A Hiasynth page opens. Sign in with Google, GitHub or Discord (new here? that just made your account), read what Le Chat is asking for, and click Approve and subscribe, or Approve if you already have a subscription.

Ask

Start a new chat and type:

Who lives within three kilometres of the Vieux-Port in Marseille, and what is the area like by day?

Le Chat reaches for Hiasynth, runs the profile, and answers from the numbers.

If Le Chat answers from memory instead, check that the Hiasynth connector is switched on for the conversation, or name us in the question: "use Hiasynth to...". Le Chat uses Hiasynth's tools but does not yet read the two reference documents our server offers to assistants, so it helps to be a little more explicit about the place and the audience than you would be in Claude.
