Humanity v1.2 “Falsterbo”

Numbers you can quote. People, households and dwellings match official statistics, and every attribute traces to its source.

Falsterbo made the population citable. Three counts per country now match the official statistics exactly: people, households and dwellings, each checked by an automated audit on every build.

New in Falsterbo:

  • People living in institutions such as care homes, student halls and reception centres represented separately from private households, so household statistics describe households.
  • Full source traceability: every attribute on every record traces to a named dataset, its vintage and its licence.
  • Purchasing-power-adjusted household income, so a household in Lisbon and a household in Munich can be compared on what their money buys.

Falsterbo marks the southwestern corner of Sweden, a low tower on a sand spit where the Baltic meets the Öresund. Today it stands in the middle of a golf course, and every autumn hundreds of thousands of migrating birds funnel past it.
