Humanity v2.0 “Nidingen”

People first. Exact counts down to the micro-zone, second homes across Europe, consumption that follows the person, and the household balance sheet.

People first.

Nidingen rebuilt the core so that the number of people and the number of households in every zone are both correct at the same time, down to the micro-zone. On top of that foundation it added the household money layer and made consumption personal.

New in Nidingen:

  • Measured age and sex profiles for every region, not just national averages.
  • Second homes anywhere in Europe: a family in Stockholm can own a cabin in Skåne, a family in Düsseldorf a flat in Mallorca.
  • Consumption that follows the person. What a household spends on, and how it splits within a category, reflects who they are, not just their income band.
  • A complete household balance sheet: savings, interest-rate exposure, how many months a household could survive a job loss, and a neighbourhood-level financial stress signal.
  • Every record stamped with its build version, so any figure can be traced to the release that produced it.

Nidingen, a low island off Halland, was Sweden's very first lighthouse, lit in 1624. It was built with two lights side by side so that sailors could tell it from every other light on the coast. Both old towers still stand.
