Humanity v0.1 “Landsort”
First end-to-end build. One country, every resident, and proof that a one-to-one population could be built and asked questions.
One country, every resident.
Landsort was our first full-scale population: all of Sweden, every one of its 10.6 million residents represented as an individual record. Each person carried around 50 attributes covering age, household, education, work, income and a first layer of attitudes and values. People were placed in micro-zones, so questions about a neighbourhood, a catchment or a stop on a transit line could be answered from day one.
Landsort proved that a one-to-one population was buildable, queryable and useful. Everything since has been about depth and reach.
Landsort stands on Öja, the last island before the open Baltic at the southern tip of the Stockholm archipelago. A light has burned here since the 1600s, making it one of the oldest in Sweden. Every ship into Stockholm has passed it.
