Petra Dalunde joins the board of Hiasynth, the startup reshaping market intelligence

Petra Dalunde, with a long history in the Swedish and European tech startup ecosystem, joins the board of Hiasynth, the Stockholm startup behind the model of Europe's consumers

Dalunde brings a résumé spanning the intersection of technology, policy, and transformation across the Swedish and European startup ecosystem. She currently leads international ecosystem orchestration across research, public sector, and industry, and previously chaired the board of Globhe, a platform that builds digital twins of physical environments using drone-captured data from 150 countries.

Hiasynth has built a 1:1 synthetic model of Europe's population across 43 countries, designed specifically for AI systems to reason over. It’s effectively a queryable statistical twin of Europe's consumers. Instead of commissioning market research that takes weeks and costs accordingly, companies get instant access through their existing AI stack. The larger shift is happening inside the industry itself: research firms and software companies are building the population model into their own products through custom integrations.

"Every so often a piece of infrastructure arrives that disrupts the domain and changes everything. This tool makes it possible to understand the whole European market in a way that used to be slow, expensive, and local. It's built for companies that need to move fast, affordably, and across borders, and we don't yet know everything it will enable,"

For Dalunde, the appointment reflects a broader shift in how startups are being built.

"There is a difference between a company that uses AI and a company built for the AI era. Hiasynth is the second kind. A population that AI can reason over only makes sense now. Being part of a startup that builds for this moment, at this pace, is exactly where I want to be,"

Commenting on the appointment, Hiasynth founder Emma Agering says:

"Petra reads systems. She moves in an ecosystem filled with founders, researchers, and policymakers, and she sees where a piece fits before anyone else notices it's missing. Hiasynth is one of those pieces: markets as foundational data that any AI can use. I want someone on the board who sees it at that scale."

Hiasynth launched publicly in September, following an angel round led by Further Than Capital. Dalunde joins Hiasynth's board alongside Emma Agering, Anders Agering and board observer Stefan Lindeberg, Further Than Capital.

About Hiasynth

Hiasynth is the population layer for AI. Its model, Humanity 2.2, is a 1:1 synthetic representation of Europe: 541 million people, each with a household, a neighbourhood, an income and spending habits that belong to the same life, computed from official statistics and Europe’s largest social surveys on EuroHPC supercomputers. Hiasynth exists to ground AI reasoning that helps companies make decisions about people in a model of the population itself, and to let Europe be addressed as one market. Founded in Stockholm in 2025 by Emma Agering, backed by Further Than Capital.
