Humanity v0.1 “Landsort”
All of Sweden, one person at a time. The build that showed a one-to-one population could be made and asked questions.
All of Sweden, one person at a time
Landsort was the first full population we built: all of Sweden, each of its 10.6 million residents as a record of their own. A person carried around 50 attributes, covering age, household, education, work, income and a first set of attitudes and values. Everyone was placed in a micro-zone, so a question about a neighbourhood or a catchment could be answered from the start.
It showed that a one-to-one population could be built and used. Every release since has added depth or reach.
Landsort stands on Öja, the last island before the open Baltic at the southern tip of the Stockholm archipelago. A light has burned here since the 1600s, making it one of the oldest in Sweden. Every ship into Stockholm has passed it.
